Benefits of LED
Ongoing Energy Cost Savings
In most cases LED lighting uses at least 50% less energy than traditional lighting, and in some cases up to 75% less energy. This translates directly to significantly reduced energy costs on an ongoing basis.
Superior Longevity
LED bulbs have a lifespan of 50,000 to 100,000 hours, and sometimes more. This is about 5 - 10x the lifespan of fluorescent bulbs and 50 - 100x the lifespan of incandescent bulbs. This adds up to considerable cost savings from reduced maintenance over the life of an LED bulb versus its traditional counterparts.
Enhanced Lighting Quality
LED light produces an extremely even spectrum, which reduces shadows and dark areas and creates an overall more well-lit environment.
Improved Safety
LEDs emit the vast majority of their energy as light, as such, they produce almost no heat. Not only does this improve energy costs during warmer months, it greatly reduces the risk of damage caused by overheated bulbs.
Environmentally Friendly
LED lights contain zero toxic material and are 100% recyclable, which can help reduce their carbon footprint by up to one-third when compared to traditional lighting. Their long operational lifespan also means that one LED bulb can save the material and production of more than 25 traditional bulbs.
